The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development has made a formal announcement indicating its intention to start paying the Npower Batch C2 Stipend.
Recall that the scheme earlier revealed that a large number of applicants to the Federal Government's youth empowerment initiative did not advance to the final level of the N-Power Batch C stream 2 programme.
As previously announced, the Npower Batch C Stream 2 Physical Verification exercise began on Monday, June 14th, 2022 and ended on Friday, June 30th, 2022.
Nneka Ikem Anibueze, Sadiya Umah Farouq's special assistant for media and publicity, in a statement on Sunday said that the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries would receive a three-month stipend covering the months of October, November, and December prior to the election on February 25, 2023.
The statement reads in detail;
Dear batch C2 N-Power Beneficiaries.
Regarding the payment of your stipends for the months of October, November and December 2022, please note that it is due to unavoidable and unforseen challenges, including technical processes and the end of fiscal year mopping up offunds that have resulted in the delay.
However, I am pleased to inform you that significant progress has been made in addressing these issues, and funds will be released within the week.
Be assured that all outstanding stipends for graduate and non-graduate beneficiaries will be paid shortly.
Your plight, particularly in these trying times matters greatly and is well understood.
We therefore urge you to continue serving our dear nation in your places of primary assignment, and in the case of non-graduates, be receiving your training, with calm understanding while we deploy all efforts to resolve this delay.
Thank you for your usual commitment and cooperation.
Continue to stay NPowered, please.
Remember that the Ministry recently stated in a number of Occasions that it was putting plans in place to start paying stipends to the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries by the end of the previous week.
While expressing unwavering confidence that the Batch C2 Npower beneficiaries will be paid this week, Mrs. Ikem had recently explained the delay as being due to technical difficulties.
The Ministry is issuing an official announcement about the Npower Batch C2 Stipend Payment for the first time since the start of the program on October 4, 2022, despite the fact that the beneficiaries have not received their payments for more than four months.
